Launched just over the summer, TomTom has not had the best of start with their new iPhone turn by turn satellite navigation app. With an overall rating on the App Store of just three stars and CoPilot sitting above them on top of the league in Navigations apps, its hefty £59.99 pricetag (and £99 in-car kit) doesn’t help either.
Despite a large amount of unimpressed users thus far, the TomTom app does have features which most users would expect to see from their sat nav, these include IQ Routes which helps you choose the most efficiency route to travel towards your destination, finding places of interest such as restaurants and safety camera and speed warnings.

With the D3 appropriately timed and out of stock it seems like Nikon will be onto something when they host their “informational event” on the 14th, this Wednesday. Many speculate that a new Nikon D3s will be likely. While the D3 which was released during May of last year was already labelled as a high-end, advanced-user 12.1 megapixel DSLR with ISO of up to 6400, capable of up 9 FPS and 1080p video recording, some believe that a new D3s will sport the following upgraded specs:
* Nikon D3s with ISO 200-12800 (D3 was with ISO 200-6400)
* New ISO range HI-3 at 102,400 ISO
* 12.1 mp FX sensor (same as the D3, but tweaked)
* 14fps
* D-movie with 24 fps/1080p
Iomega has released the StorCenter ix2-200, a NAS (Network Attached Storage) device that includes built-in torrent, Apple’s Time Machine support, bluetooth-based uploads from phones, remote access and its in a neat, earth-friendly green package.
Adobe has released their new Photoshop app for the Apple iPhone. Those who enjoy using new ways to edit pictures directly on their iPhone prior to uploading to various social networking websites will definitely appreciate this new tool. Photoshop for iPhone will include features such as gesture-based editing tools–from the basic flip, rotate and crop to more subtle image editing such as tint control and filters and effects.
Here’s a cool video to start off the Monday morning. IntoMobile recently got a chance for some hands on with the new HTC Touch HD2 (previously also known as Leo). The HTC HD2 is a quad-band PPC phone with 4.3 inch WVGA capacitive touch screen, 1 GHz processor, 5MP camera, GPS, Wi-Fi and Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional.
Geohot, the non-iPhone Dev Team iPhone hacker who brought his first tool purplera1n has created another breakthrough which sees him once again take the lead in releasing a working jailbreak solution for the new iPhone OS update 3.1.2.
This time though, the new jailbreak tool is called blackra1n
