Rumor: New Nikon D3s this week?

On October 12, 2009, in Digital Cameras, Leaked and Speculated, by Admin Staff

With the D3 appropriately timed and out of stock it seems like Nikon will be onto something when they host their “informational event” on the 14th, this Wednesday. Many speculate that a new Nikon D3s will be likely. While the D3 which was released during May of last year was already labelled as a high-end, advanced-user 12.1 megapixel DSLR with ISO of up to 6400, capable of up 9 FPS and 1080p video recording, some believe that a new D3s will sport the following upgraded specs:

* Nikon D3s with ISO 200-12800 (D3 was with ISO 200-6400)
* New ISO range HI-3 at 102,400 ISO
* 12.1 mp FX sensor (same as the D3, but tweaked)
* 14fps
* D-movie with 24 fps/1080p
