Motorola Droid specs revealed

Leaked by Motorola themself in a webpage that was meant to be published at a later date are the specs of the Motorola Droid. We spoke about the Android Moto as a potential iPhone killer this week, now its specs have been confirmed.

The Droid will have a 3.7-inch, 16:9 touch screen with 480 x 854 resolution. A 5 megapixel camera with 4x zoom, autofocus, and dual LED flash. A 1400 mAh Li-ion battery for up to 385 minutes of usage time and 270 hours standby. The powerhouse of the phone will be a 550MHz processor. There will be a pre-installed 16GB microSD card. Connectivity wise, GPS, Bluetooth, 802.11b/g WiFi and a micro USB port as standard. Six ounces of weight spread out over a 2.4 x 4.6 x 0.5-inch body.

Although there are alternative ways of doing this such as popping up VMware Fusion, Apple hasn’t officially supported Bootcamp in running Windows 7 thus far. With the release of Windows 7 yesterday, Apple has announced official Boot Camp support is on the way, it won’t be too long before we see this update released, likely before 2010. Unfortunately, the update may be Snow Leopard only and likely not work on some older Intel Macs.

Apple unveils new unibody LED MacBook

Apple has given the MacBook a much needed upgrade to its specs. The processor jumps from 2.13GHz to 2.26 GHz, the HDD from 160GB to 250GB, while the 2GB of DDR2 RAM has been swapped for the same amount of slightly faster DDR3 memory. Visible changes include a new rubber bottom, glass multitouch trackpad, LED backlighting to go with its 13.3-inch display and a non-removable built-in seven hour battery which has already been seen on the MacBook Pro.

Since the UK Apple store has just re-opened, we can now report that the new pricing for the above MacBook will be £799 which isn’t bad at all considering all the new premium features you’ll be getting.

Apple has unveiled their fastest iMac yet. A 21.5-inch or 27-inch 16:9 widescreen display with edge-to-edge glass cover just like that of the MacBook Pro. Both iMacs will sport Core2Duo and new i5/i7 quadcore chips. Wireless keyboard and get this, Apple’s new multitouch Magic Mouse will come as standard!
