LG is sponsoring the London Freeze, an event due to be held during the end of this month (Oct 31 to Nov 1) which combines technology, music and sport to create an unforgettable adrenaline filled experience. Here’s a quick official quote from the London Freeze website of what and where it will be happening:

The UK’s ultimate snow sports and music festival is back for 2009! Taking place in London’s Battersea Power Station from Friday 30th October to Sunday 1st November, FSO4 Freeze combines the World’s best snowboarders and skiers with a massive music line up to match.

This winter we’ll be transforming Battersea Power Station into London’s very own ski resort. We’ve got the London leg of the LG Snowboard FIS World Cup, International Freestyle Ski Comp, alpine themed bars and 2 live music stages including the Main Stage Tent and the all new and exciting Relentless Energy Pyramid Stage. Tickets are now on sale and selling fast so be sure you don’t miss out on the biggest snow sports and music festival to ever hit the UK!

In conjunction with the London Freeze, LG also wants to demonstrate the social networking abilities of their new QWERTY slider phone the GW520, designed to keep users connected to their friends, family and of course music wherever they are. This brings us on to the Freeze Connect which may also be something some of you may be interested in. LG is hosting a Twitter competition in which they are trying to find the UK’s best Twitter users. To enter the competition entrants should upload their profile to FREEZE Connect and from this point onwards the public will be given the chance to vote for their favorites through the site, so get all your mates voting. The most popular tweeters will get unlimited access to the music and snowsports event and will be able to tweet directly from where all the action is happening. Having shortlisted three Twitterati finalists to attend the event, the public’s most popular tweeter will be heading to the mountains with a friend – the winner’s prize is an amazing five day trip for two to an LG FIS Snowboard World Cup event in January 2010.

We’ve been sponsored two tickets by LG, these will be tickets for a particular day of the three-day period which costs £35 to buy online.
