We definitely believe Apple is going somewhere with this new release of iPod Nano. While the new iPod Touch doesn’t boast a camera, the new iPod Nano does, so I guess the rumors were half correct in the end…
The new iPod Nano has an improved screen, and will be available in 8GB and 16GB. Its latest component, the video camera, we think will bring Apple much closer to the likes of portable video camcorders like Flip. Otherwise, its design hasn’t had too much of a makeover.
Apple has finally announced new important updates to their iPod Touch range today at the Apple event. Disappointingly, all the rumors about having an iPod Touch with a camera were untrue (or is Apple saving it for later on?). Though no major physical differences, users will be happy to hear that the 8GB iPod Touch has had a significant drop in pricing, it is effectively from now available at the Apple Store online for $199 (£149 on the UK Store).
Apple has just made available through iTunes iPhone OS firmware version 3.1.1 (or just 3.1 as many are calling it). Its a major update covering a number of new fixes and support for the new iTunes 9 (full details of the software update after the break) However, if you’re an iPhone 3G / 3GS user, and you have unlocked your iPhone using the iPhone Dev Team’s ultrasn0w unlocking tool / software / application, you are advised to hold back just for a few days.
Google is teaming up with the world’s biggest board game manufacturers to create an online version of the popular board game Monopoly. We anticipate that this will be brilliant fun. The game will use Google Maps as its board so players can choose from millions of streets around the world to buy.
LG has announced their first Google Android phone named Etna at the Vodafone booth at the recent IFA trade show in Germany.
LG Etna is a QWERTY slider phone featuring a five megapixel camera, 3-inch touchscreen display, bluetooth and USB support. Full specs have not been released yet. We will be updating the release date and pricing for the Etna later on.
There have been plenty of non official apps released supporting online photo sharing sites such as Flickr but none have been official. The official Flickr app for iPhone just released can now be found from the App Store for free! The Flickr iPhone app allows you to share, and upload your photos and videos direct to Flickr.
