Rumor: Sony Ericsson XPERIA X3 will be an Android phone

Posted on September 18th, 2009 by Editorial Staff in Cell Phones, Leaked and Speculated

Rumormill currently has it that Sony Ericsson may be launching a new XPERIA X3 and that it will be running the popular mobile OS Google Android. There is also mention that it may arrive as soon as the coming January. If this is so then users may have the choice of choosing between the X2 and the X3 at the same time as the XPERIA X3 has been tipped to arrive immediately following the X2.

Despite skepticism, it has been said that the rumored XPERIA X3 will sport a 8.1 megapixel camera, a four inch touch screen display, bluetooth and Wifi. If sources are correct that it will be running on Android OS – this will mean that the X3 will allow users to download apps from the Android Market, making it potentially one of the best phones Sony Ericsson has launched in recent years. It will be ecstatic news if the X3 does come out straight after the X2, as then we’d be able to do more comprehensive comparisons!
