Just last week we reported about Nokia’s next big plan to entering the portable netbook computing arena and now we have further specs and info for those who have been fascinated. The Nokia Booklet 3G has been claimed to pack 12 hours of battery life with a whole host of impressive hardware.

Intel Atom Z530 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of DDR2 533 MHz RAM, a 120GB 1.8 inch 4200 RPM SATA hard drive with 8MB of cache, and a 10.1 inch LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720…

Connectivity wise the Booklet will boast WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, and a built in 3G modem. With no known date of availability just yet, the Booklet is expected to retail for a hefty, laptop price of €570.

    Nokia has always had top notch offerings, and this foray into the netbook market should prove to be interesting indeed. The cost is high, but expect these netbooks to be offered on cellular bundles, just like their mobile handsets. This has been their model all along and I see no reason for them deviating from it.
