The stand attaches/clips to the headphone cord. "About carrying the supplied stand Carry so as not to lose the stand as follows. Insert the headphone cord through the hole of the stand, and push the headphone cord into the base of the V-shaped notch to secure the stand to the headphone cord." Nevermind, I found it in the instruction manual at Sony’s support website. The stand attaches/clips to the headphone cord.
