Samsung launches SNE-50K eBook reader

Samsung has launched their latest ebook reader SNE-50K in the South Korean market. The SNE-50K ebook reader is an ultrathin, 9mm thick device which only weighs in at 6.5 ounces. Its also got a large 5-inch touchscreen display and a 512MB internal storage. However, a major downside is that the SNE-50K has neither Wi-Fi or 3G connectivity functions.

Pricing and worldwide availability has not been officially announced just yet, we’ll stay tuned and let you folks know when further specs are revealed.

I love reading, and the compact size of this eBook reader definitely works for me, as it will sure beat lugging a laptop around. The lack of 3G and Wireless connectivity is bound to be addressed in future models, so I personally will hold out for that in the meantime.
