Aston Martin hatchback? Its the Cygnet city car…

Posted on July 6th, 2009 by Editorial Staff in Auto Tech

Has the recession hit automaker Aston Martin this badly that they need to start making hatchbacks for ordinary people like us? The answer to that is actually no… As you will be able to read from our quick quote after the break, the Cygnet will be an exclusive Aston Martinised luxury hatch.

The Cygnet will definitely look familiar to many, in fact it is a Toyota IQ based hatch due to a recent partnership between the two firms.

Unfortunately Aston Martin won’t offer the Cygnet to just anyone, instead, reserving the vehicles for customers already owning either a DB9, DBS or Vantage. So squash those dreams of owning an über-cheap luxury city car because it’s just not going to happen.
