iPhone 3G S, that’s the name of the new 2009 iPhone we’ve all been looking forward to. S stands for Speed! If you weren’t following us with the live blogging of the WWDC 2009, Phil Schiller has now officially announced the latest iPhone. While having said that the iPhone 3G will still remain on the market, its hoped that the iPhone 3G S will become the most popular camera and video mobile phone to come.
So what will be the specs and features? Many of which were already known through rumors in fact. To be released in black and white, the latest iPhone 3GS will be equipped with a three megapixel camera with autofocus, touch focus, no flash. 7.2 Mbps HSDPA, voice control is a new one, video recording / video camera will also boast editing function. Performance as you would imagine has been much improved with this new iPhone, battery life has also been given a massive boost, with video playback for example now supported for up to ten hours and talk time up to 12 hours on 2G. Also as rumored was a built in compass function, the new iPhone 3GS will of course arrive with iPhone 3.0.
iPhone 3.0 will officially be available to all on June 17th. It will be free for all iPhone customers to update to, while it will cost $9.95 for iPod touch users.
Update (08062009): We’re blogging the WWDC live now!
This is very exciting news everyone, even before the WWDC gets on the way more images relating to the upcoming iPhone 2009 have leaked. While many have been calling the next generation iPhone, the 2009 iPhone, it seems Apple may have prepared more than was first thought.
The above leaked picture comes from Dutch T-Mobile’s internal network and shows that in addition to black and white versions of the so called “iPhone 2009″ which will have capacities of 16GB and 32GB, there will also be an “iPhone 3G 8GB Black V2″. What this actually means remain a mystery, with the WWDC just hours away, might this be covered at some point this afternoon?

Measuring at just 61 x 37 x 60mm and weighing 42g, you could say it would fit into your pocket. Using the MINIJEC1 you can easily project videos from a PC, whats even better is that you can even project from an iPod Video or iPhone which is not something all Pico projectors can do.
