Some folks in Hong Kong were testing out the latest, next generation iPhone? It seems that’s been the story, you don’t have to believe it but the point is the pictures below portrait and confirm the rumored new functions of the new iPhone.

Check out the digital compass (also notice the new battery monitor expressing remaining battery in percentage!), one of the other pictures shows that Apple has indeed put in auto-focus into the new third generation iPhone’s camera. Some claim touch focus is also supported though we will require confirmation about this. There’s also a CPU log which is always handy to have. And finally, the next iPhone (probably to come with iPhone 3.0) will have landscape mode for texts!

The two pictures compare the new camera’s quality, left being the iPhone 3G and right being the new iPhone 2009.

One Response to Next generation iPhone features and new camera sample photo

  1. 1

Looking good, but the camera technology can not compare to the offering form Sony-Ericsson, and quite frankly I am quite interested to see just how these two offerings fare against each other in the performance stakes.

iPhone will most likely prove to be the brand that defines the niche, but sales will reflect the dominance of other high-end mobile brands. This is truly exciting stuff!
