Looks like Vodafone and Orange lost out once again on an opportunity to gaining more customers. The UK’s largest mobile network O2 has won their bid to bring the Palm Pre to the UK. According to the Guardian, with already more than 20 million customers, O2 looks to stock up the device by the coming holiday season.
Last week, Palm announced that the Pre will be available in the US from next month under an exclusive deal with Sprint for $199.99 (£129) on a two-year contract. While its not yet been revealed what pricing will be like here in the UK. It will be interesting to see how this becomes affected as O2 gets ready to offer two of what’s been said to be 2009′s must-have handheld gadgets under its name, both the Palm Pre and the upcoming new iPhone running iPhone 3.0.
