The latest Sims 3 video game 2009 has been leaked online on numerous torrent websites today. Just two weeks before its meant to be officially released, the group responsible for the leak is believed to be RELOADED. However, The Sims 3 in question and available online the moment we speak is approximately 5GB, which is smaller than the actual game to be released. It maybe an unfinished version of The Sims 3 life simulation game, but the torrent description has claimed it to be the complete full version.
The official release date for The Sims 3 will be on the 5th of June in Europe, though EA hasn’t commented on whether it will be affected by the leak.
Update (19/05/2009): Some gamers have already discovered a few The Sims 3 game cheats:
While playing the game, press [Ctrl] + [Shift] + C to display the console window. Then, type one of the following codes and press [Enter] to activate the corresponding cheat function:
- Kaching – 1,000 more Simoleons
- Motherlode – 50,000 more Simoleons
- MoveObjects On – object and the sims can be placed anywhere in buy and build mode

Note: This code will return the Sim that you name within the code to a safe and nuetral state at home.

Allow Terrain Adjustments
Sims 3 Cheat code: constrainFloorElevation [true or false]
Note: The normal setting for this is true. If you enter this code with the false variable then you will be able to raise or lower the floor, even if there are walls, flooring, and other objects attached to it.
Example code entry: Press CTRL + SHIFT + C, then type contrainFloorElevation false, and press Enter to activate the code.
Objects Will Not Snap To Slots While Holding Alt
Sims 3 Cheat code: disableSnappingToSlotsOnAlt [on or off]
Note: When this code is set to on objects will not snap to slots while holding the Alt key.
Example code entry: Press CTRL + SHIFT + C, then type disableSnappingToSlotsOnAlt on, and press Enter to activate the code.
Objects Fade When Camera Gets Close To Them
Sims 3 Cheat code: fadeObjects [on or off]
Note: The use of this code, either on or off determines if objects will fade as the camera gets close to them. This does not affect Sims.
Example code entry: Press CTRL + SHIFT + C, then type fadeObjects on, and press Enter to activate the code.
Show or Hide Talk and Thought Balloons Above Sim’s Head
Sims 3 Cheat code: hideHeadlineEffects [on or off]
Note: When set to off you will not see the talk or thought bubbles above Sim’s heads.

Print Random Joke To Console

Note: Typing in this code will simply display a random joke within the cheat console.

Slow Motion Visuals
Sims 3 Cheat code: slowMotionViz [0-8] (0 is normal, 8 is slowest)
Note: Use of this code with a setting greater than zero will slow down the visuals within the game. This does not affect the in game time.
Example code entry: Press CTRL + SHIFT + C, then type slowMotionViz 6, and press Enter to activate the code.
Full Screen Mode
Sims 3 Cheat code: fullscreen [on or off]
Note: The use of this code simply determines if The Sims 3 should run in fullscreen mode or not.

Frames Per Second Display

Note: The use of this code will display the framerate that the game is running in the top right of the screen.

NB: We’ve tried looking for the Mac version but with no success. Our source have said that it was also leaked along with the PC version.
So the reloaded version is Mac & PC like the official copy will be? if not, then its come from somewhere, ahem, not too nice!
I think the version in the torrent is compatible with Mac as well, however it only says Windows. I’m using a Mac now and am downloading it (though I’m still buying the Collector’s Edition come June 2, of course
). We’ll just have to see if it’s for Macs, too.

Well I’m currently downloading it, so it’s not finished yet. It’s taking forever to download, maybe because there are so few seeders at this point(?)

my mac is powerbook G4 OS10.4.11 and it dosent install

The required OS is OS X 10.5.7 (I don’t think it’ll work if you’re not using 10.5.7 Leopard) The supposedly minimum RAM is 2GB, but my friend has a white MacBook with 1GB RAM and it works fine.
The supported graphics cards are the ff:

The Mac version of the game using Cider technology by Transgaming, means that it’s actually Windows binary that will run on top of optimized Wine application for Macs, just like Spore. And the game’s size by RELOADED is smaller because they ripped a lot of unnecessary files from the game. Have fun!~

for all who are interested on getting the reloaded version working on mac. IT IS POSSIBLE!!!! after fooling around a bit i finally got it to work, it does use the windows binary and the reloaded crack included works for the mac version! u just need a way to run the keygen exe on mac. im new to mac so im not sure how to do that part i just used my windows machine. so mount the iso and install using a generated key. now for the fun part that took me a while to figure out. but is actually pretty simple. now go into the install directory and control click on the sims 3 app and click on show package contents. then go to contents/resources/transgaming/c drive/program files/the sims 3/game/bin and replace TS3.exe with the supplied reloaded version. PRESTO fully working sims 3 on mac YEAAAAAAAAA. thats it have fun!

Just Unrar the .rar file when it’s fully downloaded. You’ll need an application like Stuffit to unzip the file. It’ll take about three to five minutes as it’s a big file (6.1GB when expanded).
After it’s been fully expanded, a new file will appear with the extension .iso
All you have to do is double click that .iso file and it’s mounted.
That’s what I did, at least, and it worked
So it works on your mac? that’s great news! Now ill have it to keep me busy until release!

Am playing it on the last gen macbook pro. Works perfectly. just do as miller says although you can skip the part with the registrationkey just look online for that!
Hey, Clever, I’m using a black MacBook with 2GB RAM and it works pretty well, but the Sims seem to be moving a little slower compared to the ones on the Sims 2. Sometimes they stop mid-step and their heads turn sideways slowly like they’re looking at something, then they begin walking normally again. Does this happen to you? And the fast forward button doesn’t work on mine, either.

I went to the link, downloaded the file and right away an icon of a blank paper called The.Sims.3-RELOADED.4901047.TPB.torrent appeared on my desktop. I have no idea what to do next! I have stuffit expander. I don’t know how to unrar. Can someone take me through step by step? :/

you need to get a torrent downloader, like vuze or tomato torrent.
Once you download one of those, open up the file on your desktop in that program. It should take a few hours to complete.
Once it’s done, you just need to install it,
right click on the file in your applications,
select ‘show package contents’
and nagivate to:
go to: contents/resources/transgaming/c drive/program files/the sims 3/game/bin
the last step is to open up the cracked file in your download and drag the ts3.exe file into the bin folder, replacing the old one.
then just load it up!

I’m also having the same problem once I try to drop the crack version in. Everytime I try to add in the crack version of the Info.plist. and TS3 Finder won’t let me edit the folder does anyone know how to over come this hurdle ?
Second thought is there any way someone who has successfully uploaded sims 3 on mac make a video or provide the files they have in a downloadable mac form ?
These are the instructions if you install the game on MAC:
0: Make sure you have something like Little Snitch to prevent the game from going online.
1: Go to Applications
2: Go to The Sims™ 3
3: Right click on The Sims™ 3.app and select “Show Package Contents”
4: From there go to: Contents/Resources/transgaming/c_drive/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Game/Bin
5: Once there you’ll see a file called TS3.exe, rename it however you want, i choosed TS3.exe.bkp
6: Keep this window open and go to the crack folder on the disc
7: Copy TS3.exe from the crack folder to the other folder on your hard drive.
8: Start the game and start playing NOW!!!!

I didn’t rename my file. I just copied the TS3.exe file from the “Crack” folder into the one found at “Contents/Resources/transgaming/c_drive/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Game/Bin.” A warning popped up that there was already a file with the same name, and I just clicked “Replace.” After that, it worked perfectly.
Well for some reason, it’s not letting me modify the file. When I try to drag or copy the crack to game/bin, it gives me an error message saying I cannot modify the file game/bin. Any ideas?
Hm… Well, the only thing I can think of is that maybe you weren’t logged into an administrative account on your computer? Or at least one with administrator capabilities…? I installed mine with an account that wasn’t administrator but was set so it could perform adminitrative stuff, like changing and editing files.
You can change the settings for your current account by clicking the Apple logo (the one at the top left of the screen) and then System Preferences>Accounts (under “System”). But you have to be logged into the administrator account, I think.

Hey sorry I have two questions. I followed the steps that are posted above but can’t find the folder. I get as far as Contents/Resources/ but can’t find the next folder. All that comes up is a bunch of languages. Also, how would I read the crack as its an EXE file. Sorry, I’m not used to playing around with stuff like this.

I’m having problems with sims on my macbook white. Everything is working quite well, except when i want to create a new sims, he or she is complitely black (you can not see his/hers clothes, nose, mouth). Only eyes and sometimes hair are colorful. Does anybody know, how to fix this ?

Found the problem, you HAVE to have 10.7 Leopard for Mac or else it won’t work. I upgraded to leopard and it works great!!!

The system requirements for Mac are OS X 10.5.7… I’m assuming Leopard. But who knows maybe it could work… I’m not sure about how “strict” they are when it comes to operating systems.

I’ve downloaded the torrent, unrared, mounted, installed, copied & pasted the crack and info.plist, but when I press the play button on the launcher it says:
“Please insert the disk ‘Sims3′.”
I assume that’s a problem with my mounting?
well… I double clicked it and it automatically mounted.
and I tried to burn an actual CD with it,,, but it didn’t work.

It’s out today so just buy it!! Why play the pirated version with all the bugs? I had it for 2 weeks on my Mac and although it works there are a LOT of bugs. I’m off to the store to get the real thing now!

Maybe you need to mount the “.iso” file? I didn’t have that problem with the Reloaded version… Try double clicking the “.iso” file. It’ll appear on your desktop. Then try playing again. Sometimes the “.iso” file acts like the game disk…
works perfectly on MAC LEOPARD 10.5.6, everything works for me.
i only have to get a serial number in windows and replace de crack in the bin folder.
If you search “mac sims 3 torrent” you will find mac downloads. they work perfectly. problem is, to download them, you have to have another “illegal” downloading source such as bshare or limewire. Takes about 8 hours to download, although people who have mac desktops or a laptop model before the macbook pro of 2008, it gets stuck around 88% or takes up to 3 days to download. Also, some of the cheats won’t work, and you can’t use the installation code to register on EA. Also runs a little slow.
JUST BUY IT.
MAC cheats work the only catch is that you have type testingcheatsenabled true and then put in the cheats in the chat box
