The Playstation has been a dominating game console for as far as it can be remembered. But Sony / Sony Ericsson have always denied the possibility of a Sony Ericsson phone orientated towards its game console series, in other words a PlayStation phone. In the past Sony have stressed that a PlayStation-branded phone could only exist independently from the mobile phone maker. However in a recent interview with Financial Times, Sony Ericsson’s president Hideki Komiyama have hinted that a PlayStation branded phone could actually be back in their agenda afterall. “If we do not adapt to this new technology or new market environment, we’re going to lose”, the Sony Ericsson head suggested.
This comes as less of a surprise. With significant losses just within Q1 of 2009 and increasing threat into the portable gaming market from Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch, clearly the Sony Ericsson boss feels it may be necessary afterall to rethink about the idea of launching a portable PlayStation mobile phone device – watch this space!








Oh, a phone with PS1 or somewhere between PS1 and PS2 gfx would be sooo soooo gr8, just hope that such a phone is decently priced.
