Those who have 05.11 baseband but have not been able to use fuzzyband’s baseband downgrader due to various reasons including non-supporting bootloader version should have a look at a new unlock tool released for the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS by Geohot. It will work for iPhones running the latest firmware 3.1.2 on baseband 05.11.07: http://www.gadgetlite.com/2009/11/04/blacksn0w-iphone-3g-3gs-os-3-1-2/

thank u for the reply . but the above mention article i only about fuzzy band works with boot loader 5.08 if there is any possible wy to set boot loader from 6.04 to 5.08 for iphone 3g

Hi zeeshan, again just like Justin’s comment which we just replied to. The bootloader version you have is the only thing getting in the way at the moment. Fuzzyband downgrader which can downgrade 05.11.07 on the iPhone 3G won’t work with that version of bootloader, here’s our newest guide on this issue: http://www.gadgetlite.com/2009/09/28/to-downgrade-iphone-3g-baseband/

We would say though, it is still worth trying it as you have nothing to loose and it is very straight forward to use. Best of luck!

Hi Justin, you have got the baseband which can be downgraded but not the right bootloader version. We have got a new guide: http://www.gadgetlite.com/2009/09/28/to-downgrade-iphone-3g-baseband/ which uses Fuzzyband app but we are doubtful that it would work for your iPhone, but we would say it is still worth giving a try – you’ve got nothing to loose! Sorry!

Sami unfortunately there is no way to downgrade the new iPhone firmware 3.1 at this point on the iPhone 3G / 3GS, though there may be a possibility for the first generation iPhone, which one do you have?
