Brian says "Forget LCD AND PLASMA" and "...blacks are SUPERB and leave lcd in their wake..."

Brian, being technically minded, as you say, you do know these ARE LCD panels right? The only difference is these are back lit by LED and not CCFLs... LOL!

Just been to Britain & Hobbs, an independant supplier in my area, Sheerness (and Sittingbourne). They have THREE on display. Forget LCD AND PLASMA. boy are they good. Very clear visually, blacks are SUPERB and leave lcd in their wake, colour is spot on, leaving plasma, low power, compared to both, and incredibly thin. You have to see it to believe it. Downside, the price, which made even me think twice, possibly three times before deciding to wait. When they come down in price, say to the 1k mark for the 46 inch, they really will start selling, and thats probably when I will buy. Hooked up to a bluray these will look stunning. I am technically minded and not much blows me away on that front, but these did. Go look, but make sure before you buy that you are shown the SD output quality, as most of the time thats what you will be watching.
