The Gadget Show Live: Light for Life torch – really lasts for a lifetime, literally!
We realise its past The Gadget Show Live now, but this isn’t a sponsored post. We reckon this infact is quite a breakthrough, we’re surprised we managed to not report about this until now. The “Light for Life” UC3.400 torch isn’t just a nonsense sales pitch, in fact, this latest in technology gadget by 5.11 could be the last torch you’ll ever need to buy again (unless you loose it of course).
The Light for Life UC3.400 torch pictured above may look like any other torch you would buy at a hardware store but actually it doesn’t contain batteries, instead it sports something that its developers call the FlashPoint Power Technology. This fancy tech allows the UC3.400 to be completely recharged in 90 seconds and keeps it going and going for the best part of 24 hours.
Producing as many as 270 peak lumens in its brightest mode (of three modes), the UC3.400 can be recharged for up to 50,000 times with virtually no degradation to its core hardware and ability to perform and put up with further full charges. As the Edgar Brothers Leisure press release have said, even if you need to charge it everyday, you can still charge it for 135 years, doing so quite literally from the day you were born and expect no deterioration in performance.
In addition to having these brilliant numbers, this new tech that the Light for Life torch brings is completely harmless to the environment, its LED light bulbs have been rated to last for 50,000 hours. Already accepting pre-orders at the Gadget Show Live (2009), for those who work or have hobbies in environments which have a high demand for portable lighting that’s reliable yet cost effective. We reckon considering what the latest Light for Life has to offer, it should definitely give a worthwhile impressive return for your tiny investment.
