As the video below demonstrates, the DSi gets to a readable version of the webpage much before the Nintendo DS Lite does, the whole thing finishes loading well in advance of its older sibling. The Nintendo DSi is set to launch in the US on April 5th. While for us in the UK, GAME has revealed that it will be offering the new Nintendo DSi for GBP 74.99 if you trade in an old console or handheld (Xbox 360, PSP 3000, Wii or DS Lite).

Check out this short DS Lite vs DSi clip:

Amazon’s attempt to boost sales by encouraging every user to buy and read off their Kindle Store even if you don’t have the latest Kindle 2? Amazon this week has released a free application that delivers Kindle book-reading to the iPhone (and iPod Touch of course), extending the company’s sales of e-books to devices beyond its Kindle e-book reader.

Just a quick tip for those of you who are iPhone users. If you remember when we posted about xGPS, well the latest version 1.2, is now available for download through Cydia (which means you must have your iPod Touch or iPhone jailbroken first). In addition to a number of great new features, xGPS 1.2 will also offer turn by turn voice instructions, though the voice sounds very robotic and much like Prof. Hawking’s talking wheelchair, it seems to do its job quite well. Watch the video by Xwaves after the jump…

Hey folks, here’s a quick gallery of the beautiful Asus Eee PC T91 or T91GO as they like to call it. Despite the pricing being recently revealed, we haven’t actually been seeing much pictures of the T91 of late. So this gallery from the CeBIT should appeal to those who are interested in getting it when it does come out. The gallery below also shows you how the T91 smoothly ‘transforms’ into a tablet pc.

Being showcased at the CeBIT this year is another one of ASUS’s new innovative designs. Fingerprints smudging all over the place will definitely be an issue, but ASUS puts a new taste and challenge on classically designed laptops by replacing the keyboard with a second touchscreen display. Not sure, whether you’d call it a “dual touchscreen tablet pc” then? As you can see in the gallery below, its thin and is already running Windows 7. Anyways, news on pricing and availability have not yet been announced but I’m sure there will be more to come.

You will definitely remember during this year’s CES when Asus dropped an exciting bombshell featuring their latest creation the Eee HTPC Keyboard or Eee Keyboard PC. In a one line summary, it’s a pc inside a multimedia keyboard complete with wireless connectivity and of course that attractive but tiny 5-inch touchscreen display.

The wonderful news is that Asus have now revealed the pricetag which will be placed on this new fascinating gadget, CEO Jerry Shen says they’re working on two models to be released by summer time and these will range from $400 (£285/€317) – $600 (£428/€476). Prices like these will definitely be competitive against notebooks and netbooks, but I suppose the Eee Keyboard PC, once out will probably be in a market of its own! Check out the specs if you think you missed out on the Asus Eee Keyboard PC during the beginning of the year.

Exactly like the spy shot which got leaked during the end of last month, Apple has now official released the latest updated version of the Mac Mini. The refreshed Mac mini continues to sport a 6.5 x 6.5 x 2 inch footprint. On its backplane the Mac mini now sports two video interfaces, a Mini DisplayPort, for connecting to Apple’s 24-inch LED Cinema Display, and a mini-DVI connector, for attaching to industry-standard DVI displays. Like the image we showed before, the new Mini now has five USB 2.0 interfaces, up from three on the previous-generation model, along with a FireWire 800 jack, replacing the FireWire 400 interface. It also sports Gigabit Ethernet, audio line in and audio line out ports.

Under the Apple shell, both the basic and “stepped up” new Mac mini models will sport 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processors with 3MB shared L2 cache. Both systems feature Nvidia GeForce 9400M integrated graphics, which are the same graphics that are featured on Apple’s MacBook laptop line. Apple claims that this enables the Mac mini to produce 3D graphics at up to five times the rate of the model it’s replacing; the previous-generation Mac mini was the last Apple product to ship with Intel GMA 950 graphics. Both models also feature 8x slot-loading “SuperDrives” capable of burning DVD media. They have AirPort Extreme wireless networking and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR built in, as well.

While the basic model will cost $599, the $799 model steps up with 2GB of 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM, twice the RAM as the base model. It also gains a larger Serial ATA (SATA) hard disk drive with 320GB of memory, versus 120GB on the basic $599 version. Of course, build-to-order options are still available and this includes a 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, up to 4GB RAM, 80GB, 250GB or 320GB hard disk drives.
