Next week will be the CTIA Wireless show in LV, for those who aren’t familiar with what this event does, we couldn’t have put it better than Doug over at Crunchgear:
Next week being the CTIA Wireless show in Las Vegas, where the big wireless companies get together to pat themselves on the back for stuff like fixing mobile broadband pricing at $60 per month for 5GB of data.
So it seems, a “reliable rumor” from GigaOm has said that they’ve been tipped that Skype is finally ready to launch an official app to support their service. Its expected this will be unveiled at the CTIA Wireless and be released as soon as next week. For those who have all their friends and families on Skype and can’t live without it, this is ecstatic news. Many users including myself have been pretty sick and tired of using alternative/”fake” services and apps that sport Skype support so this official Skype app better be worth the wait!
