Nice to see a rounded, completely unbiased report here...

Oh was that heavily laden with sarcasm? Sorry.

Actually there are some improvements coming in the SP2 which aren't downloadable as separate updates, some of which are quite important. These will include updates to DirectX 10.1, some further touch-ups to performance, support for new emerging CPUs, first party Blu-Ray recording software, improved power management, new Wi-Fi connectivity software and a selection of updates to the base feature set of the OS (such as search and bluetooth drivers).

OSX is all well and good, but as a musician it's useless to me. I find the selection of music-publishing-related apps available to Windows is vastly superior to those on OSX (and cheaper). Also OSX is pricier and so is the official Apple certified hardware you end up having to buy for it. I know this opinion is reflected in several graphical artist friends of mine who've tried both.

So can we cut the "Oh superior are we" crap and be a little more professional, kthx? This is primarily what get's Apple's users (as opposed to Apple themselves, to whom i'm neutral to) such a bad reputation, loud-mouthed attitudes and the inability to stop drilling in at every possible opportunity that they're not using Windows, OSX instead. Well whoopie, go do a handstand. For the rest of us who need Windows for certain programs, we don't care.
