LG is increasing the buzz on its 13.4mm thick GD900 handset ahead of the upcoming CTIA Wireless Show 2009. The GD900 which you will recall was first shown at the MWC 2009, Barcelona. Its been said that this time, the 7.2 HSPDA slider with world’s first transparent glass (not plastic folks!) keypad will be functional, running LG’s new S-Class UI on the three inch display. GD900 features a vibrational haptic feedback and the transparent keypad seems to double as a touch-sensitive mouse pad. The GD900 will be available in Europe and Asia in May.

Sony PSP gets hacked into a PC display

On March 31, 2009, in Gaming, Geeky, by Admin Staff

Though we don’t exactly know how this geeky hacker did it and some of you may find it rather unecessary. It appears that the Sony PSP makes a nice secondary PC status monitor in this hack. Displaying your PCs memory, CPU, CPU temperature status, etc. So for anyone who has a PSP and can’t afford yet to get a second monitor for the PC, this could be worthwhile doing :) Another shot after the break.

Back to the Future? Not exactly. It’s NASA! Those in America got the chance to enjoy a first look at NASA’s new oldschool design Orion spacecraft that will be taking humans back to the surface of the moon by the year 2020. The Orion Exploration Vehicle is part of a new fleet of vehicles that will make 21st Century space exploration possible. Weighing in at more than 8,000 kilograms, the Orion crew exploration vehicle is targeted to begin carrying humans to the International Space Station in 2015 and then to the moon in 2020, fifty years after man first stepped foot on its surface.

Is this the real deal? We have absolutely no idea whether this is just another photoshop mock up calling it the MacBook Mini. Mind you, April Fools is coming up! These are spyshots of what is allegedly the Apple netbook which we have all been waiting for, they were leaked and printed in a Russian magazine. What’s more is that the specs revealed showed no signs of on board 3G wireless connectivity, that’s odd for a netbook these days. Inside the supposed MacBook mini, there’s a 10.4″ screen with a 1,280×768 screen that handle HD videos. There’s also an Atom processor, 2 GB of RAM, WiFi, running Geforce 9400M, bluetooth, a 64GB solid state drive for storage, a USB port and a Mini DisplayPort.

When it comes to being eco-friendly and running on just electric power, Tesla has become reknown for doing the job right with its beautiful Roadster. However, the Roadster had quite a few downsides and just wasn’t practical enough. Though it was much faster than its old brother – the Lotus Elise and quieter than many petrol cars, each costed over 90k (in sterling pounds!).

Latest BenQ nScreen i91 all in one PC

On March 30, 2009, in Laptops / Computers, by Admin Staff

BenQ’s all in one iMac like nScreen i91 was announced last month and has finally arrived in Asia (though we think its also available in Australia, please confirm if anyone knows!). Though we don’t exactly know whether this iMac competitor may be arriving any other countries at the moment, the i91 does look to be a piece of cool gadget for websurfing and daily use. The i91 contains two key “Yukon” parts: the Sempron 210U processor and the M690E integrated chipset. The Sempron runs at 1.5GHz and is coupled with 1GB of 667MHz DDR 2 memory. The i91 can be picked up with either 4 to 16GB of solid-state storage, or 120 to 250GB hard drive capacity. On board is also 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, 10.100Mb/s Ethernet and a pair of USB 2.0 ports.
