iPhone gaming pad iControlPad spotted on YouTube

On January 21, 2009, in Cell Phones, Gadgets, by Admin Staff

You will of course remember the iControlPad. Though we still have no confirmation of when it will be released this demonstration footage confirms the good news for us that the developers have been working hard and are still up for it! It looks like everything is working quite well, apart from the iPhone looked abit loose when fitted into the pad (when he presses the volume at the start), but apart from that, we’re really looking forward to seeing this go on sale at some point.

After project yellowsn0w, the iPhone Dev Team have been working hard into 2009 on the next most important thing – jailbreak for iPod Touch 2G. Yes it’s what many of you guys have been asking about, and up til now, we have said we don’t know whether its possible :( , well now we know that it is possible. Though no info on when it would be released yet, we do know that a jailbreak solution does exist and they are working on it!

The first video below shows you guys why its not been as easy to get through and jailbreak the second gen iPod Touch as the first gen. The second one features what it will be like when its released and available to everyone. Of course, when it is out redsn0w should not have any restrictions to you accessing and downloading from the App Store in addition to being able to download jailbroken apps.

Much like the Livestation app, Ustream.tv which is also a site that provides free live video streaming is now offering an iPhone application completely free of charge. Some differences though, ustream.tv is not only a live interactive video broadcast platform but also allows streaming and watching of user recorded videos, it also features live daily broadcasting of events such as Barack Obama’s inauguration. While this is not the main purpose of Livestation, if you want to watch major channels such as BBC World News, or Bloomberg TV, you should go to Livestation instead.

Check out this fabulous retro PC design by Thomas who is a BA (Hons) student at the Arts Institute in Bournemouth, though this was just a one off final year project for Thomas, I certainly wouldn’t mind paying to have one of these sitting in my living room as a media centre and impressing my guests!
