The Baylis Revolution is a hefty wind up portable media player / MP3 player that features video playback, a photo viewer, an FM radio, a voice recorder, a line input recorder, a text reader, expandable memory and a flashlight. Though its got a crank at the back, it doesn’t mean you can’t charge it using alternative methods, you can do this by charging through its usb port.
What’s also useful is that you can even use it to charge gadgets such as your cell phone given that your device is supported by the appropriate cables provided. Cranking for one minute will give you about 45 minutes of playback time, which is not bad at all.
And for a device that’s equipped with built in flash light (lol!) and features FM radio, video, music playback and even support for reading ebooks, the Baylis Revolution is basically every eco geek’s dream gadget. I suppose the only price you pay for having all this is lack of connectivity (no WiFi, bluetooth, etc…) and an extremely bulky design.
