Foilacar: Silver Porsche all taped up into blue…

Posted on January 8th, 2009 by Editorial Staff in Auto Tech

Remember the owner of the BMW 335i who wanted to preserve his car really nicely and just ended up 3M taping the whole of the exterior? Well here we have a very similar thing going on, except this is a Porsche. The material used here is slight different but produces the same overall effect. It’s a type of foil wrapping technology from Germany called bu foliacar, a fully removable color foil letting you change back to the original color of your car at anytime. This German high-end product ensures the same optical appearance and surface structure just like the regular paint finish.

In addition, the foil thickness covers 100% opacity and also shields the paints against chip, abrasions and weathering to preserve car’s resale value.
