Gallery: New 17″ Apple MacBook Pro unveiled at MacWorld

Posted on January 6th, 2009 by Sharon in Laptops / Computers, Latest News, Technology

Well, no netbook from Apple but we have at least got something! The new Macbook Pro is now available for pre order from the Apple store worldwide. MacBook Pro is the improved version of the old MacBook. The first noticeable difference is the size of the screen, upgraded to 17 inches, with a unibody aluminum build and a high-capacity lithium polymer battery.

(It’s non-replaceable, like most of the other Apple products!) However, Apple say it’s very durable, will cycle through at least 1000 times with minimal wear.

MacBook Pro looks fantastic: it’s thin, weighs only 6.6 pounds, high specs, an impressive 700:1 contrast rate and most importantly is the battery, which can last up to 7 hours with discrete graphics. Of course, it’s much more expensive: $2799.
