For those of you who are not Apple or RIM fans, you might be interested to know that Nokia UK now allows users to design their own mobile using their new online service. Nokia has debuted a Flash application called Nokia Build. It allows users to design a 100% original Nokia 7310 Supernova cover using simple drawing tools, image uploads and a library of themes and iconography. Then, have it delivered to your door step, how cool is that? Unfortunately, those in the US don’t have access to this service just yet but we suspect you shouldn’t need to wait too long!

News of an upcoming deluxe edition of the already high end Nikon D3 have been circulating for a while now, but it seems the speculations were true and have now been confirmed through Nikon’s official mag.
The firm’s very own Nikon Pro magazine has run a preview on the latest DSLR, which will offer an incredible 24.5-megapixel CMOS sensor (that’s more than double the 12 megapixel one used on the existing D3). It will also have a slightly more powerful image processor 16-bit rather than 14-bit. Other specs and features remain largely unchanged.
However, there is one downside to the D3x…
The higher resolution comes with sacrifices, according to the publication. The maximum frame rate of the D3x drops from 9FPS to 5FPS in continuous shooting at full quality. It also narrows the ISO range considerably from the maximum ISO 25,600 to 6,400 due largely to the inherent increased noise from a higher-density sensor. Users can extend the frame rate to 7FPS by using a DX format crop at 10 megapixels, however, and can also push light sensitivity down to ISO 50.
There is as yet no update on its price tag, however for a high end DSLR from Nikon equipped with the above spec, you can probably expect that it will take a considerable sum out of your account balance!

Buffalo Japan has recently announced a super tiny new Micro USB thumb key, the RMUM Series. With dimensions of just 15 x 22 x 8mm at 2.3g, this tiny USB thumb key is in fact a microSDHC card reader (like the one from Sandisk we reviewed recently) sold in a bundle with a 1GB, 2GB, 4GB or 8GB microSD card. No word on when it will appear elsewhere apart from Japan as yetbut I suspect it shouldn’t be too long!
