Video: Geeky iPhone controlled dog treat dispenser gadget

Posted on December 5th, 2008 by Editorial Staff in Cell Phones, Featured, Gadgets, Geeky

This is certainly something you don’t see everyday, an iPhone owner decided to take on a little iPhone project and built this device for his dog and also for his own personal geeky satisfaction.

Myers used an I/O module and servo smart board from ioBridge, a servo, an old CD spindle case, some cardboard and wood scraps, a large syringe plunger, and a webcam to build his device, and then used the ioBridge web interface to create a widget that controlled the device. No programming was required. The system generated javascript that was then embedded into a web page optimized for the iPhone screen…

This iPhone controlled dog treat dispenser thus allows him to check up on his dog and give it treats.
