LumiTable: Fiber optics fabric becomes your table cloth

Posted on November 29th, 2008 by Editorial Staff in Latest News, Technology

The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this was that, are these emitting lights naturally and on it’s own? Unfortunately, no. LumiTable or Luminous Fiber Optics Table Runner is made of a type of fiber optics fabric called Luminex with assorted cotton borders. As a result, creates a coloured light along the full length of the fibers, producing a stunning luminous effect as you can see. This new shiny technology looks great and I can think of plenty of uses for it, but for now, it remains just as decorations and clothing. The table measures 160 cm x 33 cm. It is washable and like I said, it does need power which it does so from a mains adapter.
