Softbank (huh?), yes it may be confusing, but its what they call Sharp nowadays in Japan. Featured above is the Softbank 824SH which was displayed at the CEATEC JAPAN 2008 in Tokyo and captured by AVING. It claims to be the world’s slimmest waterproof mobile phone, without me going into everything and destroying the excitement, here are the main specs:
- 2.8″ Widescreen QVGA LCD
- 3.2 Megapixel Camera
- 127 g
- W50.0 × H105.0 × D15.3 mm
- 3G
Unfortunately like most things that launch from Japan, they take a long time or even never make it into our markets, let’s hope this one does!

Awesome mobile phone. I like to have one.
