Latest news: New LG PRADA KF900 with QWERTY sliding keyboard unveiled

Posted on October 13th, 2008 by Editorial Staff in Cell Phones, Featured

LG Electronics and PRADA today announced that the partnership that created the PRADA Phone by LG will release its second handset later this year. Almost identical to the highly successful original, the new very stylish mobile has a hidden secret. An ultra-thin keyboard which slides out from under the handset! As serenely as it appears it slides invisibly, effortlessly away – a modern icon of mobile style and design with an extra competitive edge.

The new Prada phone by LG is the highly anticipated successor to the original Prada phone, which first brought Prada together with LG, one of the most advanced technology companies in the world.

The Prada phone made history as the first full touch-screen phone to reach the market. With all the characteristics of the most digitally enhanced phones it was also a powerful aesthetic pioneer and quickly established its hold on the industry with over 1 million design-conscious users demanding handsets.

Its elegant good looks combined with a digitally sophisticated interface made it instantly appealing. The culmination of Prada research and development in the complete interior as well as exterior design and functionality of the phone and accessories was key to this success.

The unique QWERTY keyboard available only with the new mobile is designed for maximum ease of use. The metallic feel makes it a pleasure to touch and type, complimenting the slick design aesthetic. The silver keyboard along with the additional on-screen, call and hang-up buttons gives fresh tactility to the original minimal concept.

Other major enhanced features include 3G compatibility with video calling, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, full HTML browser, the 5 mega pixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach certified lens, and Wi-Fi accessibility.

This second generation of Prada handset if you like by LG is not just for pleasure, as you may already have realised, this is a luxury design accessory that sports some major improvements in comparison to its predecessor. This will allow it to compete on every level with some of the latest mobiles, hand held devices and smartphones currently in or coming into the market.

The latest, new Prada mobile will be available with a starting price of 600 Euros through major mobile dealerships in Italy, UK, France, Germany, Spain and Netherlands in the 4Q of 2008.

Why in gods name doesn’t anybody anywhere know anything about whether or not these phones come with REAL flash, and by REAL flash I mean XENON… as in electric glow discharge, not some lame LED light (flash my @$$). What the hell good is a 5.0 megapixel camera if you can only take pictures in the sun? are we pretending nobody actually has their fun friend gathering events in the evenings anymore? “Ok, everyone get together I’m gonna take a picture in this Karaoke room of all of us with my LED light camera…” Xenon actually let’s you take a CLEAR picture, with LIGHT, and stillness so you don’t have these crappy motion blur images and wonder why you spent 5-700 dollars on a 5.0 megapixel cameraphone. Every single cellphone website that I can find does not have any option for search of XENON, nor even a spec box under the ‘camera’ field of which says what type of flash it is, or if it even has flash! Whomever put LED light under the ‘camera flash’ category in the first place needs to be shot. Can somebody please tell me If this thing has Xenon! I’ve seen on 2 websites it mentioning this phone having such REAL flash, but many others not labeling it as such. Please help me (and please have sources)!! I swear I will drop a G on this phone.
