Latest next gen Zune revealed by Microsoft just before the Apple Event…
Just a few days after we featured the next gen Zune Contact design concept by Adam Huffman, Microsoft’s rolled out the official next gen Zune, just a day or so before the Apple Event (hmm, let’s not go into that…)! Anyway, now that the specs have been officially revealed, let’s take a look…
The new lineup as you can see has had very little change in terms of its design, but they will be in blue and silver. Microsoft’s latest next gen Zunes will have a storage bump of up to 120GB on hard drive models and an 8GB / 16GB choice for flash models. The firmware / software will be Zune version 3.0, this will be available to all existing Zunes as well on September 16 as well. The new features will include recommendations, new games and a WiFi music store for downloading from hotspots with your Zune Pass!
In terms of pricing, as far as we know it will be $250 for the 120GB and $150 / $200 for the flash models depending on memory capacity, reductions down the line for the current models take place today (at least for the US, not absolutely sure for the UK).
