With recent advances in robotics, having a ‘sea’ robot / fish robot isn’t all that surprising, but the amount of detail this atypical fish has got is truly incredible. Called the Tai-robot-kun (I presume Japanese), has been built with a surprising amount of detail on the outside anatomically, even the scales have been hand painted precision.

This is important for its role, because the Tai-robot-kun is actually going to be helping some marine researchers out. Its role will be to use its built-in sensors and cameras to survey the ocean without disturbing other marine life. One thing I’m worried about is its diguise, its so real, what if it runs into predators!?
