This is the world’s first of its kind, everything in this flash drive as pictured is not what you would find from the one you have in your pocket right now. This corn flash drive is actually made from polylactide plastic that is based from corn, hence I suppose the design! With very limited details availabe at the moment, all we know is that the Hong Kong based company, Hoshino has been able to produce this entire drive even with its component biodegradable. There is one catch though, because of its specially made material, it’s biodegradable function is limited, which means you don’t just chuck it out into the bin, it needs to be sent to a recycling centre, but who knows maybe even the plastic bottles recycling centre can deal with it? I’m sure we’ll hear more about this eco-friendly piece of gadget very soon.
