Hi everyone, you may have noticed our feed’s been acting abit strangely recently and we didn’t know about it until yesterday. We think its related to our new theme, as a result the feed you’re currently receiving through your subscription is RSS 0.92 and not RSS 2.0, but we’re working on it and trying to find the source of the problem, daily posting will not be affected thanks for staying with us.
Update (17:50): We’ve got the source of the problem and are working on it however, it looks like our RSS 2.0 feed won’t be back to normal until tomorrow, sorry for the delay guys…
Guy makes a motor to control his boat so that he doesn’t need to paddle so hard, fair enough. But what would a geek do? Hmm, this geek in the video below decided to do more than the average man. He decided to create a motor that could be controlled using his Wii mote, extremely geeky, but clever!
SimpleTech’s [re]drive has a super large capacity of 500Gb and is well equipped with a turbo USB 2.0 connection, at just $160, it already has enough quality to stand out from the crowd. But that’s not all, it’s also claimed to be THE MOST eco friendly, though this is highly subjective of everyone’s view, but the [re]drive’s casing is made of bamboo and aluminium. The hard drive itself is low in terms of energy consumption, more importantly, the [re]drive doesn’t even have a fan and that’s all part of its superior design to use aluminium as part of its casing material.
The above is the MP4 player which Chinavision is at the moment claiming to be the world’s thinnest at just 4.5mm thick. Yes, that’s less than half a cm in length if you take out your ruler! Though there isn’t any info on its weight, which I suspect wouldn’t be too much, the 4GB CVSJ-1304 has a 1.8 inch touch screen that boosts a resolution of 160 x 128 and supports media formats MP4, MP3, WMA, ASF, and WAV. Other features also include FM tuner, rechargeable battery and USB connectivity. It’s hard to believe but it’s already on sale for just $39.95, which is round about 20 quid and it seems if you buy more you get an even cheaper deal!
Here in the UK, some households are beginning to use solar power to heat up water in place of gas powered boilers, but these things cost alot and I must say they aren’t all that popular and not everyone realises how important solar power is going to be in the future. That’s why I think this deserves some mention, the Drake Landing Solar Community, in Okotoks, Alberta, Canada, is the first solar powered community of North America. There are altogether 800 solar panels located throughout the 52-household community, on garage roofs, house roofs and these can produce a total of 1.5 mega-watts of thermal power during a single summer day and can be used to supply heat to the district heating system. The whole system meets 90% of the annual heating and hot water needs of the homes, I think this just sets out such a good example of how everyone can live in a much ‘greener’ way with the use of environment friendly technologies. Yes, it may be expensive to start off with at first, but the benefits outweighs the cost by such a far greater proportion.

Unlike the gold plated Porsche 911 Convertible from Russia we showed earlier this week, this Porsche 911 GT2 fine tuned by TechArt aka the GTstreet RS appears much more attractive and appealing. This is not the first time TechArt has tuned a Porsche as stunning as this, if you follow the TechArt link after the jump you will find from their site that they have been tuning various Porsches for some time.

Yes, it’s that time again, time for another rumor! We’ve had concepts of what the next PSP could be like in the past months, such as the iWish which was a rather ridiculous and impossible thinking that both the PSP and iPhone could combine together. Then abit further back, we had the PSPhone, which was also another concept combining the PSP with the functions of a phone, if you just searched for PSP on our blog, I’m sure you’re find a few more. More recently, I saw a ‘sleeker’ concept for what the next PSP could look like, but really none of those that I just mentioned above claims that this will be PSP 2 which makes them reasonable. But what I have in the pics below are from a site that claims this will be the next PSP, in other words PSP 2 or PSP 3000 as some are calling it.
It’s in black and as you can see there is a new PlayStation button, with the mic and a thinner outer ring. There’s also the headphone jack with the TV out port which features more arrows than before.
Well what do you guys think? Because it’s from a site called pspchina (I know, my mind is full of pre-assumptions, I’m sorry!), it’s made me remain skeptical about it, what about you?
