The Android Scan is an application for the Android which I think could really enhance the experience of shopping in the future, in addition to that, it could possibly save you loads of cash!
Consider this example, ever had the experience where you saw something at a shop and bought it immediately without thinking just because you thought it was so cheap that you would be seriously missing out if you didn’t take it straight to the checkout? Then two days later, you’re at home and decided to look it up on the internet and to your surprise you find that the exact item was actually alot cheaper over the internet.
I’m sure anyone will have had the experience mentioned above once in a while, that’s why I think Scan has been perfectly designed for this situation. Scan, as you will appreciate from its name, is an application that uses your phone’s camera to scan product / item barcodes. It is designed to recognise barcodes then use the information to search over the internet. In the particular example above, Scan would help you search for bargains of the same item over the internet and also locally. What I like particularly about this is that it will then provide you with the relevant info, like local shop contact details so you can ring the shop immediately, Scan just makes life so much easier. If it finds you a bargain, it will probably make life less costly for you too!
Check out the video below, the application itself looks very promising…
