Here’s the latest news that’s been all over the tele today, Virgin Galatic reveals the WhiteKnightTwo, the aircraft which will be on-course to become the first to carry non-astronauts (people like you and me) into the outer space.
Here’s an important fact: Fewer than 500 people have gone to space. Out of those 500, most have been highly trained astronauts or scientists.
But now its going to be different, at least if everything goes well in the near future, commercial space travel will take another step toward, it won’t be restricted to just the rich and famous who can afford it but also for anyone from different social classes whom have ever had the same dream of space travel as anyone else.
The WhiteKnightTwo is the aircraft that will launch SpaceShipTwo into suborbital space. At the moment, the aircraft’s first job is to serve as a flight simulator next month for pilots that will be operating them in the near future. According to Virgin Galatic if simulation and everything goes according to plan, both ships will be ready by next year or 2010!

As you said, this is only available for the elite people. Surely, the cost for traveling the space is expensive.
