Latest old school style watch - ‘Timeless Watch’ has USB hidden in disguise…

Posted on July 22nd, 2008 by Editorial Staff in Featured, Gadgets, Geeky

If you’re not like many tech fanatics nowadays who just rely on mobile phones to check time, this timepiece concept may interest you. As you can see, its not got the most modern look of all designs, just a simple LCD display, but the strap does look very geeky, it made of PC ribbon cable with one of its end connected to USB. This USB bit of the watch is normally hidden away when worn, but that’s not to say it doesn’t have a purpose. The concept is that the Timeless Watch is actually powered via USB, while the watch isn’t worn, plugging it into your PC will apparently charge the watch up!

To make this design even more geeky, I suggest maybe giving it some sort of memory stick / flash drive component? More pics after the jump…

Definetly another cool practical USB application. Any USB mobile phone chargers out there?

Interesting concept. The ribbon connector as a wrist strap is a great idea. I am just wondering about longevity, and sweating. Plastic doesn’t breathe.

Do people actually still wear wristwatches? Mobile phones have pretty much taken over timekeeping duties for most people, I thought. Traditional watches as we know them are slipping into obscurity and antiquity.
