Hello, are you sure this is what you want to do? This downgrade was originally designed because there wasn't at that time a tool to jailbreak and unlock the iPhone 2G on firmware 2.0, but we've now moved on much further than 2.0. Anyhow, if you know what you're doing and this is what you need, we'd be happy to help, iTunes 7.5 can be downloaded from: http://www.oldapps.com/

@jake

You can think of it this way, 2G is the 'old' iPhone and 3G is the latest one. While firmware 2.0 is the latest version of the firmware and both 2G and 3G iPhones can have it following an upgrade. We suggest you use this link: http://blog.gadgetlite.com/2008/07/24/roundup-jailbreaking-unlocking-iphone-20-2g-3g-far/ to find out the latest information you need on jailbreaking or unlocking your iPhone.

You just need iTunes 7.5 and the 1.1.4 firmware image to downgrade. Force it into DFU mode, and restore to 1.1.4 firmware in iTunes.

Hi, well at the moment using the method in this post I can confirm with you that if you have a mac and follow the steps you WILL be able to unlock it again at firmware 1.1.4. If you are a Windows user, XP or Vista, you will need to wait abit and we will update you when this is ready, we'll keep an eye on this issue. Hope this helps.
