Here’s a neat little trick I just came across over at FiddyP, it’s not really a hack, just a simple code, a line of javascript that anyone can use without needing to know how it works. Without even needing me to explain it, the picture below pretty much describes it…
All you got to do is just copy and paste the following code into your browser address bar whenever you see an asterisked form field and press enter…
-
javascript:var els = document.getElementsByTagName(‘input’); for(var x=0; x<els.length; x++){ if(els[x].type.toLowerCase() == ‘password’ ){ var test = els[x].type = ‘text’;}}
The only downside is, this works only on Firefox and not any other browser!
If you own the new iPhone 3G, particularly the white one and think that its been looking abit strangely with new signs of ‘cracks’ to its casing recently, then it may actually not be your fault. Though this can obviously be due to ‘abuse’ of your iPhone, god knows what some people do to their phones, some users of the latest iPhone 3G have noticed this happening despite the phone being in brilliant condition. It appears that this problem has been occurring amongst the latest iPhone 3G users, with the majority being the white ones. The cracks have been observed around corners, volume and vibrate controls, near speakers and the headphone jack.
Though I haven’t heard anything like this from our readers, it seems if you’ve been experiencing this problem you may be eligible for a brand new replacement. However that is to say this replacement is not guaranteed and you should expect a scrutiny of questions and examination by the Apple staff on your attempt to claim a new iPhone as there is absolutely no doubt that some will try to get their hands on a new iPhone by inducing a bit of DIY ‘crack’ like damage…
The Android Scan is an application for the Android which I think could really enhance the experience of shopping in the future, in addition to that, it could possibly save you loads of cash!
Consider this example, ever had the experience where you saw something at a shop and bought it immediately without thinking just because you thought it was so cheap that you would be seriously missing out if you didn’t take it straight to the checkout? Then two days later, you’re at home and decided to look it up on the internet and to your surprise you find that the exact item was actually alot cheaper over the internet.
I’m sure anyone will have had the experience mentioned above once in a while, that’s why I think Scan has been perfectly designed for this situation. Scan, as you will appreciate from its name, is an application that uses your phone’s camera to scan product / item barcodes. It is designed to recognise barcodes then use the information to search over the internet. In the particular example above, Scan would help you search for bargains of the same item over the internet and also locally. What I like particularly about this is that it will then provide you with the relevant info, like local shop contact details so you can ring the shop immediately, Scan just makes life so much easier. If it finds you a bargain, it will probably make life less costly for you too!
Just some news for those in the UK, the Nokia clamshell 6650 is out from T-Mobile as from today. Though I didn’t see many exciting features from this phone when it was first revealed several months ago, here’s just an update for you if you’ve been interested and have been looking forward to the launch of this phone.
Just a reminder, the 6650 clamshell is a 2.0 megapixels video camera phone equipped with 3G, bluetooth and built-in GPS. In terms of camera quality, I would say it’s the ‘standard’ basics of x4 digital zoom and camera flash. Also included are functions that you would really expect from most phones these days such as audio player, video player, FM radio, but it’s also got TV function which is an excellent added bonus.
As mentioned, the 6650 is now available but only exclusively from T-Mobile. For 30 quid a month, over 18 months, you can now get a deal on the 6650 for free plus a free bluetooth headset. What you get for the price plan is a nice 700 minutes tariff with unlimited texts on T-Mobile’s web’n'walk. If this interests you, feel free to click here for more info over at T-Mobile…
Not being rude or anything but I have a few friends who have been learning to use the chopsticks for sometime but just can’t seem to get ‘hold’ of it. Poor coordination, possibly? Is it something that can’t be perfected with practise? I don’t know about that, but the Tukaani, is definitely something that my mates will love, firstly to save them from further embarrassments and secondly to eat properly! It’s so simple and looks effective, hope it goes into production in the near future!
Hi everyone, after messing about with the database and upgrading our blog, it seems our feeds are back to normal now (touch wood!). If any further problems appear, do drop us a comment and we’ll look into it ASAP, thanks for waiting.
Here’s the latest news that’s been all over the tele today, Virgin Galatic reveals the WhiteKnightTwo, the aircraft which will be on-course to become the first to carry non-astronauts (people like you and me) into the outer space.
Here’s an important fact: Fewer than 500 people have gone to space. Out of those 500, most have been highly trained astronauts or scientists.
But now its going to be different, at least if everything goes well in the near future, commercial space travel will take another step toward, it won’t be restricted to just the rich and famous who can afford it but also for anyone from different social classes whom have ever had the same dream of space travel as anyone else.
The WhiteKnightTwo is the aircraft that will launch SpaceShipTwo into suborbital space. At the moment, the aircraft’s first job is to serve as a flight simulator next month for pilots that will be operating them in the near future. According to Virgin Galatic if simulation and everything goes according to plan, both ships will be ready by next year or 2010!
