Designed by the Hungarian company Rehab, Rt, the Kenguru is a car built especially for the convenience of wheelchair users. How it works is actually a very clever idea, the back flip opens up and the operator (wheelchair user) pulls right inside, then putters down the highway using a joystick controller (must watch the video following the break) – very simple and highly accessible for disabled users…
However, straight off my mind when I saw this clever invention were two main problems, driving the Kenguru would mean it would not be possible for wheelchair users to have onboard the car any other passengers! Cars that disabled users drive nowadays are especially modified for them but at the same time they can still have a few passengers. Another problem is probably the stigma attached, everyone will know that you’re a wheelchair user if you drive this thing down your street!
Nevertheless, this invention is brilliant, I’m sure many people will appreciate it!

Great idea. You’d need to change most handicapped parking though with that big flap at the back, or allow this thing to park on a curb. It looks a little too much like a Smart ForTwo (http://images.google.nl/images?gbv=1&um=1&hl=enl&q=smart+fortwo&btnG=Search+Images) for my liking, but then I can’t stand that car.
Thanks for your comment Brian, I agree with you in that it does look alot like the SmartForTwo which isn’t really what I consider to be a proper car anyway!
What a brilliant idea, I thought someone would've invented this before now, but its such a cute looking car too!
i am a Wheelchair user girl, so I need for a car to I go to university & back home.
I need your help! I am in Afghanistan
