With heavy focus on how we can all do our bits to preserve the environment in the recent years, just where might energy for our mobile devices come from in the near future? Why worry about mobile energy? Because the increasing use of popular gadgets like iPods, laptops, mobile phones, handheld organisers, media players, etc… demands a greater quantities of energy source, exactly what we don’t need more of! In the video below some very clever people shows off their gadget concepts of what they think could be the answer to a more effective renewable portable energy source…
Just stumbled across something quite interesting and useful for iPhones today, the My Touch Keys. If you’re an iPhone user, you would absolutely adore the iPhone’s touch screen but might still think there could possibly be more done to make typing on the screen more easy and effective. As of now, there is probably nothing out there that can improve your iPhone’s typing recognition ability, firmware-wise. However, gadgets are always available and I think the My Touch Keys will help you do the trick, at least for the time being…

According to OhGizmo, the main reason for our typing problem is a lack of tactile feedback, ie no feedback on which actual key we are pressing when we want to type something. So by using My Touch Keys, tactile feedback becomes achievable, it fits on nicely over your touch screen exactly where the screen’s keyboard layout would be, check out the video too…
Ever thought you needed a quality flexible holder for your iPhone / iPod Touch in places where normal holding stands wouldn’t work? Just looking at the picture below and you will know exactly what I mean!
Very sorry for the lack of posting recently but I can assure everyone that everything is now back to normal!
What I would like to quickly introduce today is Adobe Photoshop Express, it’s now in BETA which means you can join and use its service or test drive it before signing up!

So what is Adobe Photoshop Express really? I think it’s fair to say it’s another online photo sharing or storage service / community like the ever successful Flickr. What you get from signing up at the moment is just 2 Gb, this may not be much for photos but I feel pretty certain that should increase pretty soon.
What you also get from using Photoshop Express are Adobe’s basic functions in editing and amplifying your images / photo which I have to say is not difficult and can be done without ever knowing about it in Photoshop.
But what I do like about the site itself is that it’s fast, doesn’t lag, runs smoothly when loading and browsing galleries, the slideshows are pretty cool. The integration that allows you to retrieve quickly your pictures off Facebook, Picasa and Photobucket seems to have been done well, though I’m sure there should be more other social sites to come. And most important of all, by signing up, you get your own subdomain at photoshop.com!
Hi everyone, this is actually a scheduled post as I’m currently away this Easter holiday, nevertheless, we’re bringing you a fascinating piece of gadget for your daily gadget needs!
What we have here below is the concept called the “Wash Up”, it’s actually a verily ‘green’ concept and I really appreciate the thought that’s been put into this. Though some may say it’s rather disgusting, the concept basically involves having the washing machine stacked above and sort of connected to your toilet which is situated below it.
As we all know, no matter how much water you try to save, it’s difficult to adjust the washing machine so that it doesn’t waste away too much water that’s essentially clean. The concept of “Wash Up” takes advantage of this by preserving and storing away the water that would otherwise be drained away. This water is then reused for flushing whenever necessary! A very simple and obvious idea, but no one has come up with something like it until now.
As an added bonus the washing machine is situated higher off the ground, making it easier to load and unload clothing without having to crouch down. It also has the advantage of allowing people who live in smaller apartments to actually have room for a washing machine, since the space used by the toilet and washer overlap.
Men beware! DO NOT buy your wife one of these: Samsung Hauzen VC-RE70V vacuum robot, why? Because the Hauzen is an absolutely stunning robot especially built for the vacuuming needs of any household, leaving your average housewife with nothing left to do!

Here’s exactly why:
- It’s got a small built-in camera that captures a general picture of its surroundings and creates some kind of map, which it uses not only to clean more efficiently, but also to return to it’s charging dock.
- Once fully charged up again, it’s able to resume cleaning where it left off.
- This way it cleans much more cost-effectively than competitor vacuum robots like the iRobot Roomba (picture below), which just cleans continuously three to four times per cleaning cycle, after all these things cost money to run!
Really sorry for the delay in posting this video, I remembered it in my head but it just got placed somewhere it shouldn’t have been, i guess. The video preview below is not the best quality I must admit because it was done through a mobile phone, but I had to post this because I’m a big supporter of Facebook and with it launching IM service, I think it’ll keep growing better.
The video itself was recently featured on Mashable, here’s what they’ve said so far…
The launch date for Facebook Chat is set in the nebulous area of “the coming weeks,” according to Product Manager Peter Deng. The Chat will function as an overlay, similar to GTalk in GMail that sits in a UI at the bottom of the browser screen. It can also, like GTalk, be popped out into a seperate window.
At the moment, they’re debating whether or not to create a whole set of off-site APIs or to go with Jabber compatibility, but neither of which will roll out with the initial launch of chat.
As in the quote above, it will be interesting to see if Facebook decides to propose a whole new off site API or just treat it like any other current web based Facebook application, one thing is certain, there will be more news very soon!
