I must admit I am not a huge fan of Zune but the recent announcement of releasing games on the Zune have triggered discussions as tohow Zune Games might change the way Zune is seen amongst many other highly successful mp3 / multimedia handheld devices. We do not yet have much information on what it will be like, but want we have learnt from the Game Developers Conference is that it has been mentioned that the Zune will be getting XNA Game Studio games that can be transferred to your PC, your Xbox and your Zune. Very versatile and convenient and because Zune has WiFi, games will support multiplayer play!
In the video below, a person demonstrates how the game will work on Zune by controlling the game with the Zune pad, pausing it and going back to the music, and then back to the game again.
Here’s another video, which some of you may have already seen before. If you recently bought a Zune, you might have it preinstalled on your device. It’s a promotional video by XNA Game Studio, showing some of the games that they are involved in and some of these are excellent mini games. It’s not to say that these games will become part of Zune Games collection, but it would be great if they do!
