Maybe not the latest, as it hasn’t come out yet but the Darwin, developed by Motus Games will certainly take on a massive role when this latest game console gadget gets released. What is it? The Darwin is bascially a Willmote for use with the Xbox 360, the PS3 and PC, but even better! As we all know, the Wiimote is probably why people buy the Wii, it’s the feature that makes people want to get hold of it, it’s also the reason why most shops here in the UK ran out of stock for it during the Christmas holidays last year. To have wireless controllers that detect our movements for game play in real-time is just gamers’ dream come true.

According to Motus, the Darwin will offer better control than the Wiimote because of a more advanced application of accelerometers and added gyroscope navigation.

They are prepared to have the new innovative Wiimote challenger released by the end of the year. Pricing will reach round about $100, this compared to the Wiimote is twice as much, as the Wiimote costs just $40. What will be interesting to see is if the Darwin’s outstanding new feature: the ability to attach and combine two controllers into one for effective two players play will become the crucial selling point to overcome the soon to be rather traditional concept of movement sensitive controllers.

A video has been uploaded demonstrating how the Darwin will work, click here to watch it at Motus Games…
