I just came across a very authentic geeky find, what it really reminds me of is Ultima Online, the online game which was based on the mid-eval renaissance period where players made and worn their own chainmails to battle against each other – funny!

This chainmail shirt is quite alike, it’s made from thousands of anodized aluminum rings, though it costs as much as $99, it probably gives you the genuine uncomfortable feeling of wearing a proper metal suit.

Sony said it would take a one-third stake in Sharp’s $3.5 billion LCD panel plant set for completion by March 2010, in an effort to meet fast-growing demand for flat televisions.

The move is the latest in a wave of alliances among Japanese flat TV makers as they try to secure enough panels while keeping initial investments in check to fight steep price declines.

For $46 you can get your hands on a mp3 player that tricks people into thinking that Lego had actually created their our Lego block mp3 player. Each nob represents a control button such as play, pause, forward, backward and volume. It doesn’t have any built-in memory though, but it does support microSD, which I feel is even better, though you have to get yourself a new memory card if you don’t already have one. What does everyone think, is the Lego block made to the right standards?

As a huge gadget fan myself, this mp3 player though not official does convinces to go and make a purchase… :)

Swimsuits may not necessarily be a geek’s type of thing at all, but there is certainly some kind of advanced technology involved in these latest swim wear. As Speedo claims the suit’s material is welded together to give the effect of having no seams, so basically as if you were swimming naked?Speedo says its new design creates less “drag” (friction of sort kind?) which can slow swimmers down as water passes along the surface of their skin or swimsuit.

Speedo unveils the fastest swimsuit ever: The LZR Racer…

Well this came as a surprise, didn’t expect 1.1.4 to be released so quickly as 1.1.3 has only been released for over a month’s time – before you begin reading this post, you must know if you update your iPhone to firmware 1.1.4 now without backing up there is a big chance that you will loose your data especially applications if your iPhone has been 1.1.3 jailbroken.

Apple has released iPhone firmware / software 1.1.4 update, which is now available via iTunes as you may be aware you can also downloaded as a 165 MB standalone setup file. In Apple’s release notes, it states that the main reason for releasing the 1.1.4 update was mainly for ‘bug fixes’, however we are aware that if your iPhone has been 1.1.3 jailbroken and is running any unofficial third party applications – this firmware update will definitely disable all of it and also erase any of your previous jailbreak. Although there are rumours that the 1.1.4 can still be jailbroken, at the moment, we feel quite skeptical about this and would prefer to wait a few days unless you were experiencing major problems with your existing 1.1.3 and would like to see if any major improvements turn up with 1.1.4.
