Das Keyboards - blank keyboards that make you type faster???

Posted on November 12th, 2007 by Editorial Staff in Featured, Gadgets, Technology

Das Keyboards are designed to produce even greater speed by providing responsive, tactile feedback with its new gold-plated and clicky high-end mechanical key switches.

However, to me the most obvious and important feature of these keyboards is that they’re not labelled and are completely blank! They theory behind this, as suggested on the Das Keyboard site, is that like playing the piano which is also completely blank, you train your brain to remember the keys and thus as time goes, you type faster and more accurately?

There are also a few additional features too, like scooped F and J keys, this will help you find out where you’ve placed your hands and also allows you to place your hands correctly for fast and spontaneous typing! These blank keyboards are also said to be especially durable too:

“We have teamed up with Cherry to equipe the Das Keyboard with the best and longest lasting key switches in the industry. By using gold plated key switches, Das Keyboard is rated up to 50 Million key strokes where as regular keyboards barely reach 10 to 15 Million strokes.”
