As you are aware, iPhone finally arrived on Friday and this weekend has been all about the iPhone as well. If you walk across any high street with either CarphoneWarehouse or O2 you will most definitely be given one of those iPhone booklets!

What exactly happened on Friday? Click here to check out three videos by BBC which covers in detail what happened that evening at 6:02 pm plus an interview with a UK iPhone hacker too.

If you saw all three of the videos you may well be aware that there hadn’t yet been an established hack / jailbreak for the O2 simlocked iPhone at the time.

Well, that actually isn’t entirely true! Although there still aren’t any jailbreaks for the firmware version 1.1.2 yet, there is a way you can bring your iPhone down to 1.1.1! This may be particularly useful for those who just bought their iPhones this weekend because all UK iPhones will come upgraded in 1.1.2 This little trick may also be useful for those who have taken the liberty to follow what iTunes on their PC said and just upgraded to 1.1.2…

But anyway, according to Hackintosh you’ll first need to have a copy of the 1.1.1 ipsw firmware file, then simply follow three relatively easy steps to bring your iPhone back to 1.1.1, after that you’ll have to follow a couple of additional steps to re-activate the phone itself.

This may sound abit complicated, so here’s the link to the post on Hackintosh…
