Is GMail going offline?

Posted on September 19th, 2007 by Editorial Staff in Leaked and Speculated

There have been rumours recently that Gmail may soon be ‘going’ offline! By that… we don’t actually mean Gmail is about to collapse, why should it?

Google Mail which currently offers their users up to 2.9 Gb of mail space has indeed been one of the most popular emerging webmail services. In order to boost its popularity to the next level, Gmail is now exploring the possibility of allowing users to check their email without being connected to the internet. Precisely how this will work is still uncertain and much of this news is just being spred round. However, there is info that Google has already developed a software for this new service, therefore users will be able to read messages from their inbox, archive, etc…and manage their account completely ‘offline’!?
